Managing the 5 Construction Phases

Hiring subcontractors and specialized trade partners is also part of this stage. 

4. Construction

Once all of the administrative work is completed, crews can actually start physical work on the project. This is the most visible part of the process, and also the point at which the most can go awry. Savvy managers don’t relax while crews work, instead focusing on ensuring that budgets and schedules are followed and that clients are kept abreast of any developments. 

5. Post-construction

Closing a project is one of the most often-overlooked phases of construction contracts. Demobilizing resources, returning rented equipment, and cleaning up the worksite to be ready for its intended use are all important parts of this process. This step also provides construction managers with a great opportunity to evaluate the previous stages and find useful takeaways that can be applied to future projects.
